Capture Overview

1. What do I need to do to get this installed?

Prior to initiating an install, Intelleq will need your signed non-disclosure agreement, and your network map. The information received will be used to prepare a written proposal. Your installation will be scheduled upon final approval of the proposal. Once we have those items, your installation
process begins.

2. When will installation take place?

Upon acceptance of the proposal, Intelleq will prepare a contract for services. Upon receipt of a signed contract, Intelleq will set a schedule for Tap installation, including detailed instructions on how and where to install the Taps in the customer’s network.

3. How much of the installation process will I have to do?

You will have three main roles in the installation phase:

a. You must provide an accurate network map that will be used to analyze your network for the placement of taps.

b.
You must make ready the physical space. If you will be receiving a rack mountable tap, you must make room.
A minimal amount of cable may need to be placed from the aggregation points to the tap.

c.
You are responsible for actually plugging in the Taps using plug-n-play technology.

4. What are the requirements of a network map?

Intelleq will provide the customer with a sample network map to work from. The key items on this map include devices (routers, switches, etc) identified by name, lines showing speed (10/100/1000, etc) topology (GigE,
FE, 10BaseT, fiber, copper), and some servers (DNS, DHCP)

5. I do not have a network map, what can I do?

Intelleq will be happy to provide you with sample maps that illustrate what we need. As a billed service,
Intelleq can assist you to create a network map.

6. Will you come on-site to perform the installation?

Most installations can easily be performed without us coming onsite, lowering your installation cost.
However, on-site installations can be performed at the customer’s request.

7. What do I need to do to prepare my network for deployment?

Ready the physical space by making room for the device, and run any additional cable required.
